Raj Bhagirathee
Raj is one of the main pillars of the Manhattan Meditation Center. When she was introduced to the Raja Yoga knowledge, more than 40 years ago, she began to feel immense happiness which she wanted everyone else to also experience. She involved herself in the spiritual service in Manhattan, starting out in a small room on the lower west side, while also working as a pharmacist at Sloane-Catering. She introduced many, many to Raja Yoga meditation. Raj’s dynamic, open and hospitable personality allowed people from all walks of life to find a spiritual home in hectic mid-town Manhattan. Raj loves to cook vegetarian food in a meditative atmosphere and encourages everyone on their spiritual journey.
