The Call-of-the-Time Dialogues and Retreats
With the Call-of-the-Time dialogues and retreats the Brahma Kumaris sustain those who have wide circles of influence and significant responsibility. Inspired by Dadi Janki in 1998, these gatherings have been held in Europe, North America, Africa, Asia, Latin America and India. They provide an accessible point of entry into spiritual concepts and practices for those who find it difficult to make time for their inner life. Our aim is to support their self-renewal and their service in the world.
Images & Voices of Hope (ivoh.org)
Those in media play an important role in the world. Often they are among the first on the scene in the wake of world events, and the stories they tell define the way societies make sense of what is happening around them. The Brahma Kumaris were one of three partners who convened the first Images and Voices of Hope dialogues in New York City in 1999 with the question, “What is the impact of public image-making and public story telling on society?” This began a movement that continues to the present.
In 2008 the organization became an independent not-for-profit organization, with independent governance. However the BK’s continue to support an annual retreat and summit at their Peace Village Retreat Center in New York and various conversations around the world.
